Airis Sense Wi-Fi does not require a Wi-Fi connection to shut off the cooker and prevent fires and smoke – the Wi-Fi connection is required only for sending notifications to relatives or carers, or for connecting with Airis Cloud for additional wellbeing support.

Airis is ideal for people living with neurodegenerative disease, including Alzheimer’s. This is why no button presses or actions by the user are necessary in order to use the stove. The individual cooks on the hob in the way that they always have done, as he or she wishes, protected by Airis in case of a dangerous situation.

Airis is only for electric hobs (all types).

Yes. Airis works with all hobs/stoves powered by electricity, including induction, ceramic/halogen, and older ‘iron ring’ style hobs.

Smoke detectors are not installed in kitchens because they create false alarms. When a smoke detector goes off, for example when installed outside the kitchen, it may be too late to evacuate, especially for vulnerable people.
