Located in Canning Town, Hallsville Quarter Phase 4 comprises 375 bedrooms across blocks reaching up to 11 storeys. The accommodation accounts for a range of needs and budgets by providing a mix of studio and ensuite apartments. Open-plan dwellings can be problematic for fire design, particularly where space is at a premium.
Airis Stove Guard exceeds the EN 50615 Category B: Prevention of Ignition standard, alleviating building regulation BS9991:2024 and removing the need for enclosed kitchen spaces or fire lobbies. Airis stove guards will monitor heat levels, human presence, and cooking patterns on 268 hobs in Hallsville Quarter to detect fire risk and automatically stop cooking fires before they start.
We selected the Airis EN 50615 system for the Hallsville Quarter development for its widespread use across the UK as well as its reliability and fail-safe design. With cooking fires accounting for approximately 50% of domestic fires, the system significantly enhances safety across the development. By preventing fires at their source, we're also reducing the likelihood of sprinkler systems being unnecessarily triggered, minimising potential water damage and disruption to residents.
