Which model do you need?

Single-phase or three-phase?

Most homes are wired for single-phase supply. Three-phase is more common in larger or older properties, in some countries more than others, and in commercial premises.

How to check if your cooker is single-phase or three-phase:

  1. Switch off the power at the consumer unit / fuse box before carrying out any checks.
  2. Locate the cover on the underside or rear of the hob, where the power cable enters the appliance. Remove the cover to access the terminal block and the wiring diagram, which is usually printed on the appliance or shown on a label.
  3. Look for the following labels on the wiring diagram:
    • 230 V / 1N~: single-phase connection.
    • 400 V / 2N~: connection using two phases + neutral.
    • 400 V / 3N~: three-phase connection.

Not sure? Don't dismantle the appliance any further – ask a qualified electrician before ordering, or contact us and we will help you check. Please do not guess: a model that does not match your supply cannot be installed.
