At what temperature does Airis cut power to the hob?

Whilst cutting the power at a specific temperature is comparatively easy to achieve, it can result in false alarms or a lot of smoke depending on the level set. Using simple analysis of infrared doesn't take account of the fact that each pan radiates heat differently depending on the colour of the pan. For example, a stainless steel pan will radiate differently to a pan coated in black Teflon.

Airis uses a patented technique which analyses three wavelengths. By doing this, it can far more accurately assess the real temperature. Airis combines this with algorithms, built using AI, which "understand" the effect of steam and particulates on infrared radiation. This makes Airis uniquely able to avoid false alarms as well as cut the power early enough to minimise smoke.
