Installing the Power Control Unit (PCU)

Note: All electrical connections must be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Step 1

  • Find a suitable location for the PCU. Suggested positions include:
  • Where a hob is located above a built-in oven, the PCU can be mounted behind the oven.
  • Under the cooker plinth.
  • In a cupboard adjacent to the cooker.
  • For a free-standing cooker, near the floor behind it.

Do not install the PCU where it will be exposed to moisture or excessive heat.

Step 2

  • Open the PCU casing by removing the four screws at each corner.

Step 3

  • Wire the PCU as shown in the diagram below:

Step 4

  • Replace the PCU casing and mount the unit in the desired position.

Mounting the Multisensor on the cooker hood

Before fitting the Multisensor, cover the hob surface to protect it against damage.

Install Multisensor batteries to activate wireless connection

Step 1

  • Detach the mounting bracket from the Multisensor unit by pulling gently.

Step 2

  • Insert the batteries in the Multisensor unit, noting the battery polarity marked on the unit.

Warning: If a battery is reversed, the resulting leak of chemicals from the battery will damage the Multisensor beyond repair.

Step 3

  • Switch on the power supply to the PCU. The Multisensor and PCU are now connected.

Mount the Multisensor unit

Step 1

  • Remove grease and dirt from the cooker hood surface.

Step 2

  • Remove the red protection strips from the adhesive tape.

Step 3

  • Mount the Multisensor on the cooker hood.
Correct positioning for hood-mounting the Airis Multisensor
